Oaklawn Stud of Percheron Horses (M.W. Dunham). Catalogue for 1887. Chicago, n.d. "Second Edition." Over 116p, several large and small wood engravings after Rosa Bonheur and others. Good paperbound (spine chipped). Many pencil numbers on several margins, front endpaper, and inside back cover. Bookseller's small embossed stamp on back cover. ** Describes well over a hundred Percheron stallions and mares, also many French Coach horses. The head sire was Brilliant 1271. Texts by Dunham; several pages of testimonials at the end, printed on pink paper. With lists of horses imported, bred, and owned by Dunham at his Wayne farm since 1872. (Item ID: 15422)
