Published to showcase these artists to "art directors of advertising agencies, magazine and book publishers and advertising executives in general," and also to demonstrate the versatility of "skillful lithography." Dozens of artists are included, each with his or her own page and sample of work. Paul Brown is one of several illustrators with an additional half-page of information about himself plus a photo (he or an agent probably paid extra for these features). He is represented by a painting of a steeplechase scene. Other artists are the seascapist Gordon Grant, photographer F.S. Lincoln, and cartoonists Tony Sarg and Otto Soglow.
