Sturdy contemporary leather (corners rubbed, rebacked). Inner hinges reinforced, endpapers browned. ** Treats many equestrian and field sports, including "Rearing and Backing Colts," "Managing Race-Horses, Hunters, &c.," and "Horse-Racing." Also cock fighting, hunting small game and deer, breeding gun dogs, shooting, angling, etc. The frontispiece caption reads, "A Chace is Sure superior to all Wealth; It gives us Pleasure, and it gives us Health."
