Despite the subtitle, this short exhibition publication isn't devoted to Stubbs. The first essay summarizes the rise of English horse portraiture from 1620 on (John Wootton, the Duke of Newcastle's horses, etc.). The second essay discusses how Stubbs used the local Creswell Crags as landscape features in some of his works. Can be sent outside the U.S. for less than the default shipping rate.
