Libby, Frederick. Horses Don't Fly: A Memoir of World War I. NY: Arcade 2000. 274p + 8p of photos. Very good hardcover (top corner of front endpaper clipped off) in good d.j. ** Libby grew up ranching and rodeoing in Colorado, then joined the Canadian flying corps in World War I, where he became an early and legendary ace. He later worked as an oil wildcatter and founded Western Air Express. About half the book treats his youthful western adventures, the rest his flying career. A good read.
