Monthly magazine with articles on many aspects of California history. The 1960s issues focus on the reenactment of the first ride of the Pony Express. The July 1960 issue has a long tribute to Lloyd Tevis, namesake of the Tevis 100-Mile Cup. Another issue features an Arabian mare who survived two weeks in an abandoned mine shaft. Other articles are on the Murietta headquarters of 1851-53, Gen. Winfield Scott, a letter from Lincoln, etc.
