Compendium: xii, 14 stipple-engraved pls. (plate 6 is placed as the frontispiece), 234, xiii pp. Materia Medica: vii, 264p. Blanks not counted for either edition. Light age staining; several small worm holes to bottom of ca. first 50 pages of Compendium. Very good. Item #30204

A Compendium is subtitled "containing an accurate description of all the diseases to which the horse is liable, their symptoms and treatment; the anatomy and physiology of the foot; . . observations on shoeing; on feeding and exercise, the stable, &c."
