Detailed, informative study of the interaction of the horse's anatomy and conformation with the mechanics of its movement. One of the best of many such studies by the French military in the late 19th century. Duhousset also wrote on the horse in art, and his text includes advice on what artists should know about anatomy to depict horses accurately. Internally very good and clean.
