According to the American Trotting Register, vol. 1, Tippo Saib was a bay horse, born in 1852, by New York Black Hawk out of the Charles Kent Mare (born 1834). This would make him a half-brother of Hambletonian 10. He was bred by William M. Rysdyk and owned by B.L. Moore of Cornwall, Orange County, NY. Is this our Tippoosaib?
