Reproductions on Sale of Objects in the Collections (2 editions) [and] Publications on Sale [and] Patterns and Designs [4 items total]; A Cyclopedia of Information

New York: Metropolitan Museum of Art; printed by D.B. Updike at The Merrymount Press, Boston, 1925-1930. First edition. Soft cover; postcards. Two brochures of art reproductions for sale (1927, 1930);  one pamphlet of publications for sale (1925); and Postcard Series 4.1 (no date, but at least before 1927).  The catalogues of reproductions offer casts, engravings and etchings, lantern slides, lithographs, photographs and photostats, postcards, "process reproductions in color" of works in the Met and other museums, etc.   All items are priced. The publications pamphlet lists all Met in-print titles, with prices.  The 6 postcards in Patterns and Designs reproduce rare 17th-century designs for metalwork. An interesting look at art museum merchandising of almost a century ago. Item #30742
