A small chapbook for young children, with one-page descriptions of 14 animals, each with a woodcut illustration. The animals are the horse, ass, cow, ox, sheep, goat, cat, mastiff, pointer, spaniel, hog, reindeer, Arabian camel, and elephant. Mahlon Day specialized in writing, publishing, and selling children's books. This one cost 3 cents. The back cover lists school books for sale at his shop. A scarce survival. Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.
