Letter about working at a horse shoe company
Unpublished, 1879. Unbound sheet. Handwritten letter to "My dear Auntie C." on letterhead of the Rhode Island Horse Shoe Company's London office (proprietor A.Seeley). Dated October 17, 1879. Good (corner tear with loss of a few words). Item #31410
The sender's name is unclear. He describes his daily duties (clerking, running errands, waiting on customers), asks about and reports family news, and asks for "a catalogue of the Fair." It seems as though he may be an American in England, as he refers to a 5-hour time difference. "Fannie" and "others" are with him. Nothing really about shoes or shoeing. Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.
