Cambridge, MA: Menhaden Press; distributed by Stationarius, 1977. Lockwood, Jim. Limited edition. Sewn soft cover. [20]p, 1 color woodcut by Jim Lockwood. Typeset and printed by N.K. Kelley and F.W. Hegeman. No. 46 of 90 numbered copies (80 for sale). Good (covers sunned, edges worn and a little torn). Item #31454

A special association copy.  Laid in: publisher's sheet announcing this title, on which the former owner wrote, "acquired 9/16/77 the day of Robert Lowell's funeral."  On the colophon page is Lockwood's heartfelt presentation to the owner, reading in part "With best wishes . . . on this weird gray day."  The three poems are "Primer," "Monkstown," and "Irish Sea."   For several years Lockwood was the proprietor of The Horse in the Attic bookshop in Brookline, MA. The former owner was a fellow poet, with a special interest in Ireland and Irish poets. The publisher's announcement is toned, probably from an old clipping that is absent. Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.
