The Manual of Horsemanship of the British Horse Society and the Pony Club [Charles Harris copy with his notes]

London: British Horse Society, 1961. Fifth edition (1st pub. 1950). Hardcover. 211p, many line ills. Lacks back cover, ca. last 30 pages dampstained. Faint musty odor. Some related clippings tipped in. No jacket, as issued. Poor, but textually complete. Item #31614

Horseman/writer Charles Harris takes his red pen and tears savagely into the riding section of this venerable manual. The second photo is typical of his comments. Laid in: a letter from Harris in which he claims that if children tried a certain exercise it "could rupture them and do untold physical harm." Also 2 snapshots of unidentified dinner guests (third photo). Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.

Price: $50.00
