Bullock, Flora. The Old Town on the River: A Little Book of Visions. Lincoln, NE: "Arranged and Printed by Harry S. Stuff at The Ivy Press (Sign of the Ivy Leaf)" 1900. [52]p, many photos by Messrs. Tyson and Rice, and line ills. by Harriet Hershey. Fair hardcover (ask for details before ordering); no d.j. (as issued?). ** Atmospheric articles and verse about Nebraska City, where the author taught the blind for many years. Some of the pieces had appeared in the [Lincoln] Courier in 1899 and 1900. The photos are chiefly landscapes, some of them silhouetted into ovals, lozenges, circles, diamonds, and other shapes. Laid in is a poem, "A Christmas Song," presumably in Bullock's hand and signed by her, 1906. Also a "Compliments of the Author" presentation with lines from Lowell, but in another (secretarial?) hand. (Item ID: 1005374)
