Gone Away" [decorative binding]

Cotton, Frederick. "Gone Away." London: Simpkin, Marshall, 1888. 279p. Good hardcover, with printed pictorial binding of a hunting scene. The title appears to be coming out of the huntsman's mouth. Presentation from "the Author's Daughter," 1900. ** Romantic hunting novel, by a Master and sporting novelist. A.H. Higginson (British and American Sporting Authors) tells us, "A well-known athlete, he once jumped every fence on the Grand National course on foot." Skewed and soiled, but very scarce. (Item ID: 14384)
