Harry Disston 21st December, 1947". ** Laid in are 3 rough but sure pencil sketches by Brown: an army bugler (initialed P.B.), a timber horse and rider with the profile of a spectator in the foreground (initialed P.B.), and a quick sketch of a crouched figure (a rider or another athlete?).
