Author's and artist's pencil presentations and drawing on front endpaper: "To 'Lady Emma' Fairfax Downey New York, 1949" [and] "For Milady Hamilton Lots of luck Paul". Between the inscriptions Brown has drawn a fine large horse head. ** Children's / young adult lives of almost 50 famous legendary and real horses.
