Erratum slip tipped in at second half-title page. Title page printed in red and black. One of 850 copies (the regular edition). Bookplate of Frederic C. Thomas. Ink presentation and large drawing on half-title page: "To Roberta[?] and Freddie--To the stables. Very sincerely--Paul Brown '31", and a rider leading a steeplechaser. From the rider's disgruntled look, they have fallen and are headed back "to the stables." Traces of pencil under-drawing. ** "History of the Grand National steeplechase [with] special emphasis on the design of the course as well as the 1928, 1929 and 1930 races, which Brown had witnessed" (Biscotti).
