Good ex-library hardcover (cover wear but binding sound). In French. ** The first edition of this very influential book, which went through several editions and was later translated as Breaking and Riding. The photos include Fillis's famous feats of trotting and cantering backward, and cantering on three legs. This copy belonged to the library of The Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, with its bookplate and various stamps. (Wells 2414). (Item ID: 15542)
