We're delighted to announce that we'll be taking part in the Attingham Trust Study Programme, "The Horse and the Country House," in England in September. Watch this space for a forthcoming selection of books related to this theme.

World on Wheels 5: Studies in . . . Horse-Drawn Vehicles
Singleton, Jennifer, design and production

Singleton, Jennifer, design and production. World on Wheels 5: Studies in the Manufacture, History, Use, Conservation, and Restoration of Horse-Drawn Vehicles. Lexington, KY: Carriage Association of America 2015. 96p, many color photos and other ills. New large paperbound. ** Volume 5 in this fine series publishes five papers that were given at the 2014 international symposium on carriages (sponsored by the CAA and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation). They discuss the carriage industry in Warsaw, the provenance and conservation of the "John Hancock Chariot," Brewster & Company's at the 1878 Paris Exposition, carriage lamps, and the "well-appointed" traveling, status, or sporting vehicle. Extremely well done, with lots of information that is not available elsewhere. Excellent value. (Item ID: 15773)
