Very good hardcover (red boards, white vellum spine, which is darkened). Trivial edge wear. Lacks the slipcase. "Christmas Greetings from the Author" card laid in. ** Van Sinderen's first Christmas book focuses on his Saddlebred saddle and harness horse activities in the 1920s-30s, the American Horse Show Association (of which he was president), and the National Horse Show, There are also chapters on his favorite equestrian books and pack trips in the national parks. He tells some candid stories about his early showing mishaps. Although the publisher is uncredited, the book is generally believed to be a Derrydale title and to have been issued in a very small edition (ca. 200 copies?).
