We're delighted to announce that we'll be taking part in the Attingham Trust Study Programme, "The Horse and the Country House," in England in September. We have in stock some of the books on the program's suggested reading list. A selection of them, plus others that may be of interest, are included in "Featured Books" at the bottom of this page. Quantities are very limited. For other titles related to the program's theme, search by the keyword Attingham, or go to "Browse Horses" and then look through the topics Art, Driving (especially other World on Wheels volumes), Farming, Horses in Society & History, and Hunting. We're happy to ship postpaid to Attingham participants within the United States.

Horse World [Saddle Horse magazine, 1950]

Various authors. Horse World. Des Moines. Ten issues (out of 11 total) from 1950. Lacks no. 3 (March). Nos. 1 and 2 were combined into the February issue; there was no January issue. Pagination varies, usually 74 pp. Many photos and ads. Fair to good large paperbound. Most of the covers show normal handling wear; the insides are generally very good and clean, except as noted here.. The April cover and page margins are quite damp-stained and rubbed. July has been chewed through in places, but this affects only the margins (see photo). No content is lost. These are old flaws; there is no odor. ** This monthly magazine incorporated Mid-Western Horseman, Golden Gaits, and other Saddle Horse journals. It was the official publication for the Golden Saddle Horse Association and various Midwestern Saddle Horse associations. Club news and notes, show results, short features by writers such as J.H. Ransom, Earl Farshler, etc. Lots of old-time information and pictures here! Heavy; shipping/handling will be extra. Please keep this in mind when ordering. $15.00[a]. (Item ID: 15928)
