Good ex-lib. hardcover: 2 ink stamps, pocket removed; spine faded. ** Memoirs of the childhood, travels, and public life of Britain's longtime "leading political hostess" (1878-1959). With much on her work with the Women's Volunteer Reserve in World War I, the Irish Civil War, her estate and gardens at Mount Stewart in Northern Ireland (now National Trust), her family and friends, etc. Horses are treated in passing: one page on childhood riding in Scotland and several pages on racing in Ireland during and after the war.
