Gift inscription. Owner's neat ink stamp on front endpaper. ** Very scarce; the first copy we've had in 25 years. Trotting stars Lou Dillon and Uhlan--the "Trotting Queen" and the "Russian King"--recall their careers across a pasture fence in Santa Barbara. Billings owned Lou Dillon, the first horse to trot a 2-minute mile. He wrote this book during his retirement in California.
