We're delighted to announce that we'll be taking part in the Attingham Trust Study Programme, "The Horse and the Country House," in England in September. Watch this space for a forthcoming selection of books related to this theme.

Carriages [with errata sheets]
Damase, Jacques

Damase, Jacques. Carriages. NY: Putnam 1968. Trans. from French. (Pleasures and Treasures series) 120p, 129 ills., 24 in color. Very good hardcover (edges shelf-rubbed) in very good d.j. With 3 pages of corrections from the Carriage Naming Committee of the Carriage Association of America. ** History of carriages and carriage-making, chiefly European. With many unusual illustrations from various sources--paintings, engravings, drawings, photos, ads, etc. Judging from the CAA's corrections, it looks as if the translator didn't know carriage terminology well. (Wells 1754). (Item ID: 330)
