Not written in. ** Many contributions by students on hunting, the war effort, social life, etc. The senior class included Carmel Snow (daughter of legendary Harper's Bazaar editor Carmel Snow), Anne Legendre (later Texas Republican leader Anne Armstrong), Mary Frances Penney (later Wagley, distinguished chemist and first woman elected to the board of the MIT Corporation), and Helen Kleberg of the King Ranch family, who was valedictorian.
