Very good hardcover: contemporary half leather, marbled boards (rubbed); new endpapers. Without the original paper covers. Occasional light staining; overall very clean. ** Bound volume of six early numbers of this monthly sporting journal on hunting, racing, fishing, shooting, small game, veterinary science, etc. Its title varied over the years, usually being The Sportsman or The New Sportsman. Long article on "The King's Arabian Horses," illustrated with an engraving of "The Arabian horses presented by the King of Oude to His Majesty William IV." (Item ID: 998)
