A short unsigned text comments "upon the gallery's aims and accomplishment." In this show 13 artists "are exhibiting together as a unit for the first time." They include the five founding artists, as well as Philip Pearlstein (the semi-abstract "Cliff" is illustrated). With a long list at the end of the dozens of painters and sculptors who had exhibited at the Tanager since May 1952--the de Koonings, Marisol, Frankenthaler, Guston, Hofmann, Johns, Kline, Motherwell, Smith, and many more.
