On the principles of moral behavior in many aspects of life--personal, social, civic, etc. Combines straightforward advice with many examples from literature and fable (e.g., Kant on "majeste du devoir," Shakespeare on "le remords," Montaigne on "de la force d l'habitude," etc.). Beautifully written in black and red ink in both a sloped and an upright hand. Occasional teacher's corrections in blue pencil. The pages are gridded and the notebook is labeled Molesquine No. 57.
