Robin Bledsoe, Bookseller, has specialized in antiquarian horse and art books since starting out as Blue Rider Books in 1973. I sell books from my shop near Harvard Square, online, by occasional catalogue, and at occasional shows. I also sell occasionally on eBay, as pegasusbooks.
LOCKDOWN BOOK SALE!!
In these trying and uncharted times, I wish all you good health--and, of course, good reading, too.
Massachusetts has shut down all "non-essential" retail businesses until at least June 8. But my business is essential to me, so though the shop is closed my website is open and I'm here adding new books all the time.
My Lockdown Sale is still on. Books added before May 1 are 20% off for orders placed directly or via the website, and orders of 5 or more books, whether discounted or not, will be sent postpaid in the U.S.
No minimum, no maximum. Please be patient if there's a slight delay in filling orders--and thank you for being on the job, USPS!!
IMPORTANT--If you want to use PayPal, please check first to make sure the item is available.
The FEATURED BOOKS (at the bottom of this page) are the latest arrivals in my ongoing offerings of bookseller and auction catalogues, and other works on art, book history, and poetry. More information or images provided on request.
I hope you’ll find something of interest, and thanks for looking! Every order you place will help the shop stay here! Thank you for your loyalty during 45+ years of selling good horse and art books.
Please explore this site to order a book, plan a visit, check out our catalogues, buy a gift certificate, or look into selling or appraising your books. To receive email notice of regular new arrivals, fill out "Topic Notification." Choose "Art" or "Horses," or both, from the drop-down menu. (It's easy to opt out later, if you wish.) I look forward to hearing from you!
Most of the books in our shop aren't listed here, so please contact us if you don't see what you're looking for. When you're in the Boston area, I hope you'll visit our two book-filled rooms and find the book you need--or the one you didn't know you wanted.
Thank you for your support, which helps ensure the future of an independent local bookseller.
