Robin Bledsoe, Bookseller, has specialized in antiquarian horse and art books since starting out as Blue Rider Books in 1973. We sell books from our shop near Harvard Square, online, by occasional catalogue, and at occasional shows. We also sell occasionally on eBay, as pegasusbooks.
SPRING BOOK SALE!!
In these trying and uncharted times, I wish all you good health--and if you're homebound, good reading, too.
Massachusetts has now closed down all "non-essential" retail businesses until April 7. But my business is essential to me, so although the walk-in shop is closed I’ll continue my series of online sales. Please be patient if there's a slight delay in filling orders.
Every order you place will help the shop stay here! Thank you for your loyalty during 45+ years of selling good horse and art books.
Until April 15 we’re offering 20% OFF ALL WEB OR DIRECT ORDERS. And as a bonus for you racing fans who are missing the ususal run-up to the Triple Crown races, ALL OUR RACING BOOKS ARE HALF OFF (Thoroughbred, jump, and harness).
Some of the racing books are featured at the bottom of this page. Scans of most other items are available on request.
No minimum, no maximum. I’ll apply the discount when I process the order. The usual shipping/handling applies except for orders of 5 or more books, which will be sent postpaid in the U.S. The sale ends April 15. Meanwhile, I’ll keep adding more books.
IMPORTANT--If you want to use PayPal, please check with us first to make sure the item is available.
We hope you’ll find something of interest, and thanks for looking!
Please explore our site to order a book, plan a visit, check out our catalogues, buy a gift certificate, or look into selling or appraising your books. To receive email notice of our regular new arrivals, fill out "Topic Notification." Choose "Art" or "Horses," or both, from the drop-down menu. (It's easy to opt out later, if you wish.) We look forward to hearing from you!
Most of the books in our shop aren't listed here, so please contact us if you don't see what you're looking for. When you're in the Boston area, we hope you'll visit our two book-filled rooms and find the book you need--or the one you didn't know you wanted.
Thank you for your support, which helps ensure the future of an independent local bookseller.
