No place: [American Red Cross], n.d. [1940s?]. Brown, Paul. First edition. Poster printed in red and green, ca. 14 x 22 inches. Number "28" printed in green in lower left. Dark area is due to shadow, not discoloration. Poster is shrinkwrapped against cardboard, which has creased across the middle. Fair but intact (closed and marginal tears, corner pinholes, creased across middle). Item #14825
The illustration, credited to Paul Brown, shows Santa Claus dropped out in white within the Red Cross symbol. Below the cross is a large holly wreath, which encircles this text: "GIVE One dollar for a Red Cross Membership Button GIVE That human beings ill and wounded may share in your health and happiness GIVE That love and humanity may fill the heart of the world." A very unusual and atypical Paul Brown item, perfect for the completist collector. Shipping/handling will be extra; please keep this in mind when ordering. Photo on request.
