This one-volume work preceded the 1805 3-volume edition. Chiefly detailed descriptions of manege work--schooling, the hand, aids, gaits, changes and voltes, shoulder in, etc. With a chapter on military riding. Despite the subtitle, there is little on racing, hunting, or road riding. Very scarce in commerce. (Wells 34) Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate.
