After World War II Francisco Lucena y Angel studied with many European masters before moving to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. His nephew Roberto Lucas y Lucena worked with him there, training many international jumpers and dressage horses. Don Francisco began this book but died before finishing it. Roberto completed it from his notes and outlines, translating everything from Spanish. Occasional errors in wording, or typos.
