N.p. [New York?]: Godey's, n.d. [mid-1800s]. Waitt. First edition. Unbound print. Original fashion plate from one of the various Godey's magazines, neatly hand colored. Image is ca. 5 1/2 x 9 inches. Light grey mat is ca. 9 1/2 x 13 1/4 inches. (photo is cropped on 3 sides). The artist's name is at lower right. A few very light small spots of foxing, slight wrinkling visible under raking light. Slip of the mat knife near the large tree. Not examined under the mat. Very good, shrink-wrapped. Item #30554

The rider wears a neat long-skirted black habit and hat. Her companion carries a colorful shawl. Trees and a large house are outlined in the background. The photo is much too dark; the original is lighter, bright, and fresh.
