Warrenton, VA: Virginia Horseman's Association, 1951. First edition. Unbound sheets. Vol. 5, nos. 1 and 2 of the Virginia Horsemen's News. 24p, no ills.; several pedigrees. Very good. Item #31056
This is a PHOTOCOPY of this issue of a very scarce magazine. Hewitt discusses some current breeding theories and leading European stud farms. His text seems to be based on a talk. Wall discusses inbreeding and outcrossing, using a few specific examples of Virginia sires and dams. Saegmuller gives a good summary of Virginia breeding from its beginnings to 1950. Can be sent outside the US for less than the default shipping rate. (Not in Wells).
