Civic pride on display here! Several dozen men and women pose for posterity in and around five carriages (known as breaks) in front of a body of water with a spouting fountain and abutting shed. In the background are a smokestack, a tall cupola, and a city skyline. The women in front carry what look like souvenir fans. At each side stands a man in uniform, wearing a badge and what looks like a helmet.  Several curious boys look on. The photo most likely records the 1908 dedication of the Cobbs Hill Reservoir in Rochester. We are grateful to photograph historian and longtime Rochester resident Grant Romer for this identification. Shipping/handling will be extra; please keep this in mind when ordering.
