Instruction on the forward seat, schooling, and hunting, in the form of dialogues between Littauer and other instructors and a student. Littauer was a great believer in the teaching value of photographs, and at the time of publication this was easily the most comprehensive and best-illustrated American riding manual. Now dated, but still with much sound advice. (Wells 4639).
